Tin Can Valley Printing Co. has been invited to participate in the inaugural Mankato Art Crawl on:
Saturday, April 15 – Noon to 4:00 p.m. at Sidetracked, 420 Park Ln, Mankato
I will have the mobile print shop set up for visitors to see how letterpress printing works, and try printmaking on a real antique jobbing press. For free.
This Saturday, art shops, galleries, and coffeehouses around Mankato will host Mankato’s first art-focused Art Crawl! Each location will feature several local artists and their work, along with live music, poetry readings, art classes, demonstrations, and rewards for stopping at each location.
There will be so many opportunities to see unique artists around Mankato this Saturday, but you should at least make the trip to visit Sidetracked. Patti Ruskey has brought into being a special space to create, experience, and work with other artists. This description is pretty accurate: “A curious art salon & art thrift shop with a free studio space called Art for All.” There will be at least a dozen other artists, musicians, and poets hosted by Sidetracked on Saturday.
