Look different? Something missing? I had to change web-hosts over the weekend; on very short notice I might ad. I was so excited to leave the former host that I neglected to back up the content on the old site. Kind of like looking around at your home, appreciating what you have, and then burning it to the ground.

The old site was built on the Drupal CMS. Drupal is impressive, and seemingly without end to capabilities. Where it lacks are grace, and ease of use.

For this “re-design” I have returned to a thing more familiar: wordpress. The design, or theme, is going to take time. I’ll one-day just choose an element, say maybe a div.entry-meta class, and then tweak and scale it for a while. Then pick up the computer the next day and work on the unordered lists. Sometimes I’ll be happy with a style before I have to log off for the night, but usually I realize I have to be to work in 4 hours and wonder what on earth I’m accomplishing by not sleeping.
